Kootenay.design is a small but mighty web and design studio based in Kimberley, BC. We specialize in crafting beautiful, high-performing websites, branding, and marketing materials for small businesses across the Kootenays.

Design made local. Built for your business

We originally launched in 2019 as Revy Web Design in Revelstoke, BC. Since then, we’ve grown through word of mouth and a reputation for delivering clean, effective design.

In 2025, we rebranded to Kootenay.design to reflect our broader reach and new home base in Kimberley, BC. Over the last few years, we’ve built more than 70 custom websites for small businesses across the Kootenays, helping them build trust, attract customers, and grow. Meet the team

Laura

Founder

Laura is the founder of Kootenay.design and has been building WordPress websites for many years. Originally from England, she moved to Canada in 2016 and now lives in Kimberley, BC with her chef husband, their two kids, and a Maine Coon named Juniper.

Maxine

Operations Coordinator

Maxine does a little bit of everything. As Operations Coordinator, she helps with communication and timelines to keep things on track. She is known for her meticulous attention to detail.

Krister

Web Developer

Computers have fascinated Krister from a young age. For the past 5 years he’s been putting that interest to good use as a web developer and IT specialist. Solving problems is a passion and he uses his creative thinking skills to do so.

Anika

Copywriter

Anika has been an avid writer her entire life. She holds an MA in History and History of Art from the University of Edinburgh and completed the professional editing certificate from the University of Chicago.

Cande

Web & UX Designer

Cande is passionate about creating remarkable brands, with a keen eye for aesthetics and design. She helps businesses develop extraordinary visual identities, blending 3D design, photography, AI tools, and design expertise.

Dan

SEO, PPC & Analytics

Dan's been in digital marketing since 2012, specializing in both paid and unpaid search marketing. When he's not spending time in Excel and Google Ads he’s out cycling and playing hockey.

Jessica

Client Outreach Coordinator

Jessica specializes in building strong, lasting relationships with clients through a personalized service. She has lived in Cranbrook for the past five years and appreciates the community and character that make the area special. Her strong ties to the region help her connect with clients in a genuine and meaningful way.

Karen

Social Media Manager

Karen helps local businesses grow their online presence through consistent, organic content and strategic posting. She takes social media management off their plate so they can focus on running their business. When not working behind the scenes for clients, she enjoys golf, hiking, and travelling.
