Mountain Goodness is a small store with a big heart dedicated to providing Revelstoke with quality products that are thoroughly researched, carefully curated, and sustainably sourced. Every item on the shelves reflects their commitment to supporting local farmers and artisans.

Our graphic designer crafted a fresh brand identity, including a cheerful new logo, cohesive colour palette, and typography. Custom illustrations are featured on the website, with some of them being transformed into fun and playful page backgrounds, adding to the site’s unique charm. Heather’s favourite mountain in Revelstoke, Albert Peak, made a special appearance and is incorporated into the website footer. Revy Web Design also helped design a range of branded merchandise, including stickers, tote bags, and t-shirts.

Built by our web developers, the fully responsive website meets WCAG 2 Guidelines for accessibility and is optimized with advanced SEO techniques, while the addition of an auto-updating privacy policy ensures compliance. The site includes a seamless integration of Mountain Goodness’s Google Business Profile to highlight their excellent ratings, along with a newsletter signup, live Instagram feed, and the option to purchase gift cards online.

Our photographer captured onsite photos of the store, its products, and a couple of headshots, adding a personal touch to the website. Meanwhile, our copywriter brought the brand’s story to life with engaging, heartfelt content. This website reflects the heart and soul of Mountain Goodness, delivering a vibrant and wholesome online experience.

Branding

Primary Logo

The primary logo represents the core identity of Mountain Goodness, ensuring brand consistency and strengthening overall recognition. We use a softened sans serif font, welcoming circular shapes and identifiable illustrative style. With recognisable imagery we can convey warmth, hand-picked curated items and a sense of fun.

Secondary Logo

A secondary logo can be vertical or horizontal. Alternate secondary logos tend to be stripped-down, stacked versions of your primary logo. Your secondary logo is also known as an alternate logo. Think of it in food terms: if your main ingredient is unavailable (e.g. your primary logo doesn’t fit in the desired space), you’d substitute it with one of these alternatives. Plus we get to use the narwhal!

Brandmark

Brandmark are similar to submarks or favicons, but are an even smaller design mark that includes a tiny Mountain Goodness illustration. Usually, brandmarks go unnoticed, but not our beautiful basket! A brandmarks serves one purpose: to provide a final branded touch to your website or socials.

Colour Palette

The Mountain Goodness brand carries significant symbolism and relevance to its identity and location. The colour palette needed to be earthy, fun and inspired by the abundant harvest of the Kootenay Region. Narwhal Blue is an ode to the business mascot, while adding class and maturity.

Professional photography enhances a website by creating a polished, authentic, and engaging experience for visitors. High-quality images build trust, showcase products or services in the best light, and help brands stand out.

Illustrations

We included illustrations in the Mountain Goodness brand identity to visually capture the essence of the natural, wholesome products the brand represents.

The hand-drawn style evokes a sense of authenticity and connection to the land, emphasizing the brand’s roots in the Kootenay region’s vibrant landscapes.

These illustrations not only add a playful and inviting element but also reflect the artisan quality of the products, making the brand feel more personal and approachable while celebrating the richness of the local environment.
